I can talk about my day: where I am and what I'm doing, what time it is and at what time, on which day and in which month, which language I speak — and not mix up Mənim and Məndə, danışmaq and demək, bazar and bazar ertəsi.
What we review
What we review
In this module you learned to say where you are and what you do during the day. We review six topics — see the table.
• where — -da / -də and the personal ending;
• what I'm doing — -ır and the personal ending, “not” — -mır, a question — -mı joined;
• what time it is — “saat beşdir”, at what time — “saat beşdə”, the half hour — “altının yarısı”;
• “on Saturday” — no ending: şənbə günü;
• months and seasons — also with -da / -də;
• in which language — -ca, the name of a language — dili.
Three pairs that are easy to mix up: Mənim (what you own, family) ↔ Məndə (on me now); danışmaq (to speak a language) ↔ demək (to say something); bazar (Sunday) ↔ bazar ertəsi (Monday). And “whose” ↔ a name: müəllimin çantası (both words take an ending) ↔ Azərbaycan dili (only the second).
Module 3 in one table
The six topics of the module and a model for each.
