• Time: number ＋ じ and ふん, 半; an exact time ＋ に, an approximate one ＋ ごろ; まいにち and まいあさ take no particle.
• The week and spans: ようび; start ＋ から, end ＋ まで.
• Where and with whom: an action — で, where something is — に, together with someone — と.
• Requests: ten set phrases with ください.
• The calendar: がつ, days of the month, the “when” words.
• Invitations: …ませんか; once you've agreed — …ましょう; an event (かいぎ, コンサート, おまつり): place ＋ で ＋ あります.
When: に, ごろ, or nothing
After ごろ the particle is usually dropped; まいあさ, まいにち, and まいばん take no particle.
