Remember the family triangle: Aredhel is Turgon's sister (and so Fingolfin's daughter) and Maeglin's mother; Eöl is her husband, Maeglin's father; Turgon is King of Gondolin, Maeglin's uncle. So Maeglin is Turgon's nephew and the cousin of Idril, Turgon's daughter.
