I can say where I am, where I'm going and where from, and what is where; make requests and say “don't”; say with whom and for whom — and ask the right question.
What we review
What we review
In town you need three questions and three endings:
• qayerda? — where: -da (bozorda)
• qayerga? — where to: -ga; after k, -ka; after q, -qa (bozorga, bankka, qishloqqa)
• qayerdan? — where from: -dan (bozordan)
English “in” is -da, “to” is -ga, “from” is -dan, but “where?” can ask for -da or -ga. The verb tells you which: live, work, stand → “where” (-da); go, come in, come back → “where to” (-ga).
We also review:
• what is where: divanning tagida, uyning orqasida
• requests and “don't”: kiring — kirmang, kut — kutma
• postpositions: with -dan — keyin, oldin; with no case — bilan, uchun, haqida
• question words — all of them are in the table
Don't mix them up in writing: ozgina “a little”, oʻzim “myself”.
