Bus. “Аялдама қайда?”, “Бұл автобус қайда барады?”, “Билет қанша тұрады?” To ask the way: “Орталыққа қалай барамын?” The answer says how to go: автобуспен, метромен — or жаяу, on foot.
Taxi. Give the address with a set phrase: “Абай көшесіне барамын”. Change only the name of the street: after көшесі the dative is -не. The price: “… дейін қанша тұрады?” — “how much is it to …?” To stop: “Мына жерде тоқтаңызшы”.
Calling a taxi. A phone call starts with алло: “Алло! Такси керек”. If you can't hear well: “Жақсы естімеймін. Кейінірек қайта қоңырау шалыңызшы” — “Please call again later.”
A lost thing. “Сөмкемді ұмыттым”, “Телефонымды жоғалттым”: “my, your” thing as the object (сөмкем, телефоның, кілтіңіз) always takes -ды / -ді. “To find” in the dictionary is табу, табамын, but in the past and the negative the stem is тап-: таптым, таптың ба?, таппаймын.
