There are no new rules in this lesson: check that everything the module was for has stuck. • The particle は marks the topic and is read as わ; the predicate with です comes at the end. • The particle も (“too”) replaces は; the two never go together. • The particle の works like English 's: the owner comes first. • Your own family: plain words (はは); someone else's: polite words (おかあさん). • Ages 1, 8, 10, and 20 don't follow the rule: いっさい, はっさい, じゅっさい, はたち.
