What we review

This lesson covers the whole module in new sentences. There are no new rules or words. • What I like: 「【food】がすきです」 — words of liking take が; “I don't like it” — 「【food】はすきじゃないです」; a polite refusal — the unfinished 「~は、ちょっと…」. • What I do: 「【food】をたべます」, 「たべません」, 「たべますか」 — one form for everyone, the object with を, the verb at the end, no future tense. • How often: いつも · よく · ときどき · あまり…ません · ぜんぜん…ません; まいにち, まいあさ, まいばん — no particle; meals — あさごはん, ひるごはん, ばんごはん. • What it is: これ, それ, あれ, どれ — instead of a thing; この, その, あの, どの — before a thing; ここ, そこ, あそこ, どこ — a place. • Ordering: 「【dish】をください」, 「【dish】、おねがいします」, 「【dish】にします」, 「【what】、ありますか」, 「いじょうです」; counting things ひとつ…とお, the question いくつ. Where the module leaves you: now you can talk about your tastes, say what you eat and how often, point at things, and order.
