Module 4 review: free time and telling time.
The three verb groups: -are, -ere, and -ire, including -isc- (finisco, capisco, pulisco, spedisco — but noi finiamo, voi finite).
andare (vado, vai, va, andiamo, andate, vanno), uscire (esco, esci, esce, usciamo, uscite, escono), giocare a, and the set phrases for where you go: al cinema, in palestra, a teatro.
Where the adverb of frequency goes: sempre, spesso, di solito, qualche volta, raramente — after the verb (or at the beginning), not before it as in English; non… mai — on both sides of the verb. il lunedì — every Monday, lunedì — this Monday.
piace for one thing and for an activity, piacciono for several; the “to whom” words — mi, ti, gli, le, Le, ci, vi.
Time: “Sono le…”, but “È l'una”, “È mezzogiorno”, “È mezzanotte”; at what time — “A che ora?”, answer — alle, all', a.
The three verb groups in the present tense
Compare the -are, -ere, and -ire endings person by person.
