What we review

What we review

What this module covered, in brief. There are no new rules here — just a summary before the exercises. • Comparing two options: plus / moins / aussi + adjective or adverb + que; plus de / moins de / autant de + noun; bon → meilleur, bien → mieux, mauvais → pire. • Not repeating the noun: me, you, us (and to me, to you, to us) — me, te, nous, vous; a direct object, with no preposition (him, her, it, them) — le, la, l', les; an object with à (to him, to her, to them) — lui, leur (no -s). • All these pronouns go in the same place: before the verb, before the infinitive, inside ne … pas. • Place and quantity: y is for a place (à la mairie → y), en for a thing and an amount (des brochures → en), and the number stays after the verb: j'en prends deux. • Housing and rules: le loyer, les charges, le frigo, le lave-linge; il faut / il ne faut pas / il est interdit de + infinitive; en bas, en haut, là-bas, au bord de. Module summary: you can now compare travel and housing options, answer briefly with a pronoun, and read a French apartment ad.
