В этом модуле мы изучили две важные темы.
Косвенная речь:
• утверждения — say/tell + сдвиг времён: «He said he was ill».
• вопросы — if/whether или вопросительное слово + прямой порядок слов: «She asked whether the train was late».
• команды — tell/ask somebody (not) to do something: «He told me to wait».
• модальные глаголы: will → would, can → could, must → had to.
Страдательный залог:
• формула — be + V3.
• настоящее: am/is/are + V3 — «Tickets are sold online».
• прошедшее: was/were + V3 — «The bridge was opened in 2004».
• исполнителя действия вводит предлог by.
Частые ошибки:
• NOT «He asked me where do I live» — в косвенном вопросе прямой порядок слов: He asked me where I lived.
• NOT «The books was written by one author» — при множественном числе were: The books were written by one author.
• NOT «He said me the truth» — say без лица: He told me the truth.
Сдвиг времён в косвенной речи
Каждое время делает шаг назад; must превращается в had to.

Пассив = форма be + третья форма глагола. Исполнитель — через by.
