Lesson 7. Module 6 review

I can review the module: tell “I don't want to” from “I can't”, choose one of the five “not”s, say where I'm going and why and what I'm planning to do, and talk about what I do before and after work.

What we review

• Five ways to say “not”: 아니에요 — is not; 없어요 — there isn't, don't have; 안 / -지 않아요 — don't; 못 / -지 못해요 — can't; -지 마세요 — please don't (so far only 피우지 마세요). English “not” and “no” cover all five. • 안 — your choice or habit; 못 — a reason stops you, or you don't know how. • -(으)러 — only before 가다, 오다; -(으)려고 해요 — with any verb. • -어야 돼요 — have to; -(으)니까 — because; -(으)ㄹ 수 있어요 — can; -기 전에 / -(으)ㄴ 후에 — before and after; -고 있어요 — right now; 에게 / 한테 — to (a person). • What you can do now: talk about your plans, explain at the doctor's what's wrong, say what you can do, and answer the phone.
