Безличная и личная модели отчётного пассива
Отчётный пассив делает источник сообщения безличным. Безличная модель: It + is/was + V3 + that-clause: "It is said that the fund is losing money". Личная модель переносит подлежащее: Subject + is/was + V3 + to-infinitive: "The fund is said to be losing money"; для действия, случившегося раньше, — perfect-инфинитив: "The founder is thought to have sold his shares". Кроме say/think/believe/report есть is claimed to, is rumoured to (по слухам) и наречие allegedly (как утверждается, но не доказано), которое ставится перед смысловым глаголом: "She allegedly signed the contract without permission"; тот же смысл передаёт reportedly. Каузативная конструкция have/get something done (обзор из B2) означает, что действие выполняет кто-то другой по вашему поручению: "We had the office repainted during the holidays" — не путайте с отчётным пассивом: там неизвестен исполнитель, а не источник сообщения.
Так неправильно:
• NOT «The founder is said that he sold his shares» — после said с подлежащим нужен to-infinitive: The founder is said to have sold his shares.
• NOT «It is believed the fund to be losing money» — в безличной модели после It только that-clause: It is believed that the fund is losing money.
• NOT «She is reported leave the board» — после reported нужен to-infinitive: She is reported to have left the board.
Отчётный пассив: две модели
Обе модели передают чужие слова; личная звучит компактнее и чаще идёт в заголовках.
