What we review

What we review

There are no new words or rules in this lesson: we review module 5. The six cases (see the table): whose? -ның, to whom and where to? -ға, whom and what? -ны, where and when? -да, where from? -дан, with whom and with what? -мен. The pronouns by case are in the second and third tables. Also in this lesson: • the accusative: a definite thing takes the ending, a thing in general doesn't; • маған керек, маған ұнайды: the person is in the dative; • prices and numbers to 10,000, ordinal numbers, and dates; • the past tense, for what is over: кеше, былтыр, өткен аптада. It has short personal endings — the last table: today барамын, барамыз — yesterday бардым, бардық.
The six cases

The first five endings have a soft partner: -нің, -ге, -ні, -де, -ден; -мен / -бен / -пен has none.
