What we review

What we review

The module is finished — here is the big picture. We review: choosing the auxiliary verb (avoir or être), the past participles of regular verbs in -é, -i, -u and the fifteen irregular ones, past participle agreement with the subject (-e, -s, -es), time expressions, and the imperative. The table puts three tenses you can already use side by side: hier — passé composé, aujourd'hui — présent and venir de, demain — futur proche (aller + infinitive, like English “going to”). The time expression in the sentence decides which form to use. Each exercise below checks one of the module's five lessons. If an exercise is hard, go back to its lesson and reread the theory.
