Реальные условия
Zero Conditional описывает факты и законы природы: «If you heat ice, it melts» (Если нагреть лёд, он тает). Формула: If + Present Simple, Present Simple.
First Conditional описывает реальное будущее: «If the bus is late, I will take a taxi» (Если автобус опоздает, я возьму такси). Формула: If + Present Simple, will + инфинитив. После if мы НЕ используем will.
То же правило действует после when, as soon as, until, before и unless: о будущем в них говорят в Present Simple.
• when — когда: «When the exam finishes, pupils can go home».
• as soon as — как только: «As soon as the bell rings, we leave».
• until — пока не: «Wait until the teacher says so».
• before — перед тем как: «Before you enter, turn off your phone».
• unless — если не: «You won't pass unless you revise».
Так неправильно:
• NOT «If the bus will be late, I will take a taxi» — после if о будущем говорят в Present Simple: If the bus is late, I will take a taxi.
• NOT «When I will finish, I will call you» — то же правило после when: When I finish, I will call you.
• NOT «Unless you don't revise, you will fail» — unless уже значит «если не»: Unless you revise, you won't pass.
Нулевой и первый тип условных
После if будущего времени не бывает — там Present Simple.
