Delete your Pepelen account

Pepelen — the website pepelen.com and the Pepelen apps for iOS and Android, operated by Vladimir Shirokun — lets you delete your account and everything linked to it yourself, from the app or the website. No support request is needed.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in at pepelen.com or in the Pepelen app.
2. Open Settings → Account.
3. Press “Delete my account…”. If you want to keep a copy of your data, use “Export” on the same screen first.
4. Type your account email and your password to confirm, then press “Schedule account deletion”.

Your account is deactivated immediately: every session is signed out and the account cannot be used. 30 days later your data is erased for good. Changed your mind? Sign in again within those 30 days and the deletion is cancelled with everything restored.

Cannot sign in? Use password reset, or email privacy@pepelen.com from the address your account is registered to and we will schedule the deletion for you, with the same 30-day period.

What is deleted

Everything linked to the account:

• your profile — email address, display name, password, sign-in sessions and linked sign-in methods;
• flashcards, folders, study sessions and review history;
• lesson progress, attempts and mistakes, placement-test results;
• certificates (their public verification pages stop working), badges, streaks and activity history;
• AI-tutor conversations, speaking-exercise and AI-usage records;
• courses and custom exercises you authored, personal courses, course requests, feedback you sent, referral credits;
• usage-analytics events (if you had opted in) and push-notification subscriptions.

What is kept, and for how long

• Anonymous visit-journal entries (which pages were opened, not linked to an account) expire on their own after 30 days.
• Technical server logs (errors, security events) contain no account data and are kept only as long as needed to operate the service.
• Encrypted server backups are kept for 30 days on the server; off-site copies are expired automatically by the storage lifecycle policy. A deleted account is never restored from a backup.
• Emails you exchanged with us stay in our mailbox until you ask us to delete them.

Удаление аккаунта

Pepelen — сайт pepelen.com и приложения Pepelen для iOS и Android, оператор Vladimir Shirokun — позволяет удалить аккаунт и все связанные с ним данные самостоятельно, из приложения или с сайта. Обращаться в поддержку не нужно.

1. Войдите на pepelen.com или в приложение Pepelen.
2. Откройте Настройки → Аккаунт.
3. Нажмите «Удалить мой аккаунт…». Если хотите сохранить копию данных, сначала нажмите «Экспорт» на том же экране.
4. Введите email аккаунта и пароль для подтверждения и нажмите «Запланировать удаление аккаунта».

Аккаунт деактивируется сразу: все сессии завершаются, пользоваться им нельзя. Через 30 дней данные удаляются окончательно. Передумали? Войдите снова в течение этих 30 дней — удаление отменится, данные восстановятся.

Не можете войти? Восстановите пароль или напишите на privacy@pepelen.com с адреса, на который зарегистрирован аккаунт, — мы запланируем удаление за вас с тем же сроком 30 дней.

Удаляется всё, что связано с аккаунтом: профиль (email, имя, пароль, сессии и привязанные способы входа), карточки и папки, история повторений, прогресс по урокам и ошибки, результаты теста уровня, дипломы (страницы проверки перестают работать), значки, серии и история активности, диалоги с ИИ-репетитором и записи разговорных упражнений, созданные вами курсы и упражнения, отзывы, реферальные бонусы, события аналитики (если вы её включали) и подписки на уведомления.

Остаётся: анонимный журнал визитов (какие страницы открывались, без привязки к аккаунту) — сам стирается через 30 дней; технические логи сервера (ошибки, безопасность) без данных аккаунта — пока нужны для работы сервиса; зашифрованные резервные копии сервера — 30 дней на сервере, внешние копии стираются автоматически по правилу хранилища; удалённый аккаунт из них не восстанавливается; ваши письма нам — в нашей почте, пока вы не попросите их удалить.
